ROUNDCTRL (RoundCtrl)

Legal

Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. No legalese.

What we collect

  • Public Steam profile info for players you look up or who show up in matches: name, avatar, SteamID and profile link.
  • Match stats from demos, from matchmaking games people import, and from FACEIT. That includes scoreboards, round events and the Premier rating or rank each player showed in-game.
  • If you sign in: your SteamID, name, avatar, favorites, tracked players, settings and uploads.
  • If you connect your match history: your CS2 authentication code (encrypted, never shown again or shared) and your latest sharing code. We only use these to find and download your new matches.
  • To keep the site running: hashed login sessions, rate-limit counters by IP address (deleted after a day), and a log of sign-ins and account deletions.

What we don't collect

  • Your Steam password or Steam Guard codes. You sign in on Steam's own site.
  • Payment details, your inventory, or anything private on your Steam account.
  • Your in-game chat. We only check demo chat for the VIP phrases (“get roundctrl” and “kobe”). We keep the VIP day you earned, never the messages.

How long we keep it

  • Demo files are deleted as soon as they've been analysed. Only the stats are kept.
  • Logins expire after 30 days of inactivity.
  • Half-finished uploads are cleaned up within about an hour.
  • Disconnecting your match history deletes your codes straight away. You can also revoke the code on Steam whenever you like.

Who can see what

  • Demos you upload are private unless you make them public.
  • Imported matchmaking games are public by default (you can change this in Settings). A public match shows stats and Premier ratings for all ten players, including people who don't use RoundCtrl. Hidden ratings stay hidden.
  • Public profiles only show public matches.

Deleting your data

  • Settings → Delete account removes your account, favorites, tracked players, uploads and private matches.
  • Public matches stay, without your account attached, because they include other players too. Get in touch if you want one taken down.
  • If someone else uploaded or imported a private match you were in, it stays in their history.
  • Want your stats removed from matches other people imported? Send us your SteamID.

Other services

  • Steam (Valve) for sign-in and profiles, and FACEIT for FACEIT matches. Their own privacy policies cover what they hold.
  • Avatars load straight from Steam.
  • No ads and no tracking or analytics.
